The other day it was my cousin’s birthday and from what I understand he was quite a handful as a kid.
His brother posted this on Facebook:
Sure, your kid is covered in dirt now.
And yeah, your kindergartener just got suspended for biting a 5th grader.
They barf on the dentist.
They barf on sleepovers.
Maybe they put off doing their homework. Again.
Maybe they deferred their college education to join the military. Indefinitely.
But maybe – just maybe – after all the worrying and wondering, your kid will turn out just as awesome, good-hearted and lovable as this one.

So many times we are in the midst of parenting and we can’t see the big picture. I just wanted to remind all of you that it will probably be okay, your kidsSpirt will grow up and be fine human beings, just like Mikey.
